An AFSCME Advantage story: (From a recent issue of AFSCME Council 65's newsletter Street Heat)
I have been an AFSCME member since 1996, and am committed to buying US made products and vehicles. But I never used AFSCME Advantage savings for Union members related to cars, vacations, credit cards, etc.
My car was totaled in an accident that was not my fault and I needed to purchase a new vehicle. I used AFSCME Advantage. Words cannot express my satisfaction with AFSCME Advantage which was much better than any prior vehicle purchase. In using AFSCME Advantage:
Prior to any commitment, I e-mailed questions about the service and received answers within 24 hours. And, I was assured I was not committed to anything until I signed paperwork.
I e-mailed the make, model and options I wanted on the vehicle, and despite limited availability of the car I wanted, I had a price negotiated within 48 hours,
Finally, once the vehicle was located at Olivia Chrysler, the dealership were willing to do whatever it took to make sure the vehicle was available.
Financing of course was based on credit, but I was able to do it over the telephone with the dealership and had a confirmed approval within an hour.
Once the price was negotiated by AFSCME Advantage, I was still able to receive the Dodge Incentives & the 0% financing. This resulted in a price $1,000 below invoice, and 0% financing for 60 months.
After that, the car was delivered to my home so I could test drive it. They let me have it overnight to determine if I liked the vehicle because they were late in getting the car to my home and I had left for work.
Once I drove it, I loved the vehicle but noticed a few scratches in the clear coat. I contacted the Olivia Chrysler dealership (three hours from my home) and the General Manager from Olivia Chrysler drove up to my home, buffed the scratches, and took my loan paperwork the next business day.
I would definitely recommend this service to other AFSCME members, my experience with LOCATING, PRICING and SERVICE through AFSCME Advantage; which connected me with OLIVIA CHRYSLER was better than any experience I have previously achieved on my own. (Author wishes to remain anonymous)
